Scuba Diving Caño Island - $155 per person.
Caño Island Biological Reserve is located about 20 kilometers off the coast of the Osa peninsula. In the pre-Colombian époque the island was used as a cemetery by the former natives of this land.
The island is surrounded by five platforms of low coral reefs with many coral species. The coral reef environments are home to many different species of fish, parrot fish, Moorish Idol, Crocodile Needlefish, Guinea Fowl Puffer, Cornet fish and schools of Jack Fish, to name a few), and other aquatic animals such as sea turtles, sting rays, morays and white tip sharks.

It takes about 40 min in the boat to get to the Caño Island, on the way it is possible to see dolphins, whales, sea snakes, sea turtles and other species.
During your diving expedition you will be able to observe impressive reefs, sea turtles, sea horses, sea plants, among others. For this tour it is required to have the PADI diving certification.
The Caño Island tour includes the boat, dive master guide, diving equipment, lunch and entry to the island. They will give you all the diving equipment before the tour and before beginning the dive the dive master will give a briefing about safety rules. You will have two immersions from 49 to 59 ft deep.
After the immersions you will go to San Josecito beach to have lunch and enjoy the beautiful white sand beach. At Caño Island is not possible to use the toilets or to have lunch.

Incredible diving experience in Isla del Caño.
Con mi pareja hemos realizado excursiones de buceo en varios lugares, y en esta oportunidad hicimos la excursión a Isla del Caño. Realmente fue una experiencia increíble, que terminó en la hermosa Playa San Josecito. Los equipos son muy buenos y la atención del personal de la empresa es excelente.
Fue una muy buena experiencia, la recomiendo al igual que a la empresa. Gente super agradable y amigable con muy buena predisposición para todo lo que necesitemos.
Hicimos la excursión de buceo y realmente quedamos fascinados con la vida submarina..Peces de todos los colores, corales, rayas y mas.
Hicimos con mis hijos adolescentes la excursión de buceo en isla del Caño y tuvimos una excelente experiencia. Comenzando por los guías que fueron una maravilla. Habiendo buceado en algunos de los lugares más famosos del mundo, puedo decir que hacerlo en este destino valió la pena. Vimos tiburones, rayas, tortugas, anguilas y varios cardúmenes. La parte más sorprendente fue una vista de una ballena jorobada y su cría mientras viajabamos en bote a la isla.
