Full Day Tour to enjoy watching dolphin and whales in Drake Bay. The tour starts at 7:30 AM. We will navigate the most important areas to look for dolphins, whales, sea turtles, sea birds and much more.
The tour includes snacks on the boat during the expedition.
From December to April the Northern whales come and, from July to November, the Southern whales. In our tropical waters they hardly eat; instead spending most of their time in activities of courtship, mating, birth and breading.
You will have 3hs tour to swim and discover tons of species of beautiful and colorful fish!. You can observe sea turtles, dolphins, sea snakes and a huge number of pelagic birds nesting on the island.
They have one calf every 2 or 3 years. They feed mostly on krill or marine micro-organisms which are abundant in cold waters.
Sometimes you can also see the False Killer whale (Pseudorca crassidens) and more rarely the Sei whale (Balaenoptera borealis), Brydes whale (Balaenoptera edeni) and Killer whale (Orcinus orca).

Among the dolphins that can be seen in Drake Bay, Costa Rica probably the most common is the (Stenella attenuata) spotted dolphin, usually in groups of 70, 100 or more individuals, are fast swimmers and jump out of the water continuously.
Other species that can be observed are, dolphin Bufeo or Bottlenose dolphins (Turciops truncatus) dolphin Screw (Stennella longirostris) and Rough-toothed dolphins (Steno bredanensis).
